First Day!!!
What an absolutely amazing day! I missed my stop on the bus, but we are just not going to talk about that. I got on my bus and figured out my way to school, when I got their I was supposed to be looking for another American girl that would help me, but I had no idea what she looked like so I was kinda lost. I found a sign that said "reception" so I followed that and I made my way to the principals office. When I arrived there no one was there so I went into the hall and asked a girl where the princpal was she didn't know so then she asked a boy where he might be and he showed us the way there and talked to the deputy principal. He said the principal would be in later. The boy asked me where I was from and stuff so I answered all his questions then that's when the girl recognized who I was and she was the girl I was supposed to be looking for. We ended up going to the art room to wait for the principal and all 3 of us talked a little bit. Then another staff member came in and told me I was a 5c which is actually a 5th year (I don't know what the C means) We went out to a picnic table and talked a little when more people began to show up. The other American I met in the airport was there to and we all had the same schedule! I started with history, then went to English. we talked outside with some Irish students for like 20 minutes while the teacher was talking to someone. They asked us a lot of questions about the American school system and college and stuff like that. English was pretty boring. The we had a 10 minute break where I tried this biscuit thing that was so good. After we had a double study hall. The first study hall we were pretty much alone but the second half most of the 5th years came in and we talked more with them. I learned some of their names and got some snaps! After that I had my appointment with the principal where I chose my subjects. I should be getting all the credits I need except for Spanish because they don't offer that. After I talked with the principal I went to math (it was very difficult) then the day was over. It was a half day so it was nice to start slow. I really enjoyed the day and had a lot of fun. Starting school has definetly helped my transition. I'm really excited to spend a year with these people they are so nice and have great personalities. Im probably going to update once a week from now on unless something big happens.
